Explore Berlin Through a Shared Polaroid

PolaWalk is a community photo walk organised by Berlin Photo Studio with Polaroid and Safelight Berlin. It is designed for beginners, photographers, visitors and anyone curious about making instant photographs with other people.

Participants walk in groups of four and share one Polaroid Go camera. Each edition follows several creative themes, encouraging the group to slow down, observe Berlin and decide when a moment deserves a physical photograph.

How It Works

1. Meet your group

We introduce the event, the creative themes and the people who will share the camera.

2. Share the camera

Each group of four uses one Polaroid Go. Sharing the camera is part of the PolaWalk experience.

3. Explore and photograph

Walk through Berlin together and make approximately 8–10 instant photographs per participant.

4. Return with the photographs

Meet the community again, compare the different interpretations and keep your physical Polaroids.

5. Submit to the fanzine

You may submit as many photographs as you want within one month of the event. Three winners are selected for each edition’s fanzine. Other eligible participants who submit receive a discount.

6. Event prize

One participant wins a new Polaroid Go at every edition.

Your PolaWalk Go Card

Bring your Go Card back whenever you participate. It records the PolaWalk editions you have joined and turns the recurring events into a personal visual diary.

The camera and event film are provided.

Important Information

Duration: approximately 2.5–3 hours

Language: English

Age: recommended 16+. Younger participants are welcome with an accompanying adult.

Maximum attendance: 100 participants.
