Berlin Photo Studio Open Calls connect photography with community, experimentation and visibility.
Here you will find calls for exhibitions, publications, zines, photo challenges, collaborations and special projects. Each opportunity receives its own page with the theme, deadline, eligibility, submission rules and selection process clearly explained.
Some calls will focus on analog photography. Others may welcome digital work, instant photography, archives, collage or mixed media. What matters is the idea—and the voice behind it.

Who can apply to Berlin Photo Studio open calls?
Eligibility depends on the individual call. Some opportunities may be open worldwide, while others may focus on photographers in Berlin or Germany. Each brief will state this clearly.
Do I need to photograph on film?
Not always. Some calls will focus specifically on analog photography, while others may accept digital, instant, archival or mixed-media work.
Will every photography open call be free?
Not necessarily. If a project needs a participation or production fee, the amount and what it covers will be visible before submission.
Can beginners submit photographs?
Yes, whenever the brief allows it. We want to create opportunities for emerging photographers as well as experienced artists.
Where will selected photography be shown?
The result may become an exhibition, zine, photo book, online feature, event or partner project. The exact outcome will always appear on the dedicated call page.
