Storage & Abandonment Policy

Clear collection periods for negatives, completed orders and belongings left at the studio.

Important

Berlin Photo Studio is a working analogue laboratory with limited physical storage. Customers are responsible for collecting materials within the periods stated below.

Negative storage

Berlin Photo Studio stores developed negatives for 2 months from the date of completion.

After this period, uncollected negatives will be permanently disposed. No further notice is required and no compensation will be issued for disposed materials.

Customers are responsible for collecting their negatives within the stated period. Berlin Photo Studio is not an archival storage facility.

Orders not collected

Any product or service order not collected within 3 months from the completion or notification date may be disposed, resold, reintegrated into inventory or donated.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Developed film and prints
Physical scan deliveries such as USB or DVD
Cameras or equipment left for inspection, testing or evaluation
Special orders, physical gift cards and custom production

No refunds will be issued for abandoned orders.

Forgotten or lost objects

Personal belongings or objects left inside the shop will be stored for up to 3 months.

After this period, items may be disposed, donated or resold. Berlin Photo Studio assumes no responsibility for unattended items left on the premises.

Customer responsibility

Customers are responsible for monitoring completion notifications, providing correct contact information and collecting orders within the stated timeframe.

Failure to collect items within the defined storage period constitutes abandonment.

Why this policy exists

This policy exists because of limited physical storage, workflow requirements, sustainability considerations and the volume of previously uncollected materials.

The studio operates as a working analogue laboratory, not as a long-term storage facility.
