Polaroid 340 Automatic – glass-lens folding packfilm camera
The Polaroid 340 is one of the more capable folding Automatic Land Cameras. Its coupled rangefinder, 114mm f/8.8 three-element glass lens and aperture-priority automatic exposure offer a more refined experience than simple rigid-body packfilm models. A mechanical development timer and folding bellows complete the classic late-1960s design.
Important film compatibility
The 340 uses discontinued Type 100-series 3¼ × 4¼-inch peel-apart packfilm. Fujifilm FP-100C and original Polaroid packs are no longer manufactured, and it does not accept 600, SX-70, i-Type or Go film. It is sold primarily as a collectible or specialist expired-film camera.
