Rolling Artist Open Call · Berlin-Wedding

THE LIVING WINDOW

One window. One artist. Two weeks. Then the story begins again.

Berlin Photo Studio invites artists to transform our large shop window through a public live-painting session inspired by photography, memory, Berlin and our community.

Our window has never been only a shop window. It is a changing sketchbook, a public canvas and a visual conversation with the street.

The selected artist creates an original temporary artwork directly on the glass. We document the process and keep the finished work visible for approximately two weeks before the window begins again.

Artistic direction

Photography is the starting point, not the cage

The work may respond to analogue photography, darkroom culture, memory, archives, identity, Berlin-Wedding, community, recycling, transformation or the relationship between images and time.

We are not looking for advertising. We want personal interpretations, strange ideas and visual stories that make people stop while walking past.
