Studio Projects

Projects that need more than one frame: exhibitions, walks, publications, open calls and experiments built with other people.

A living project archive

From an idea to what remains.

Each chapter keeps the visual evidence around a project: its starting point, the people involved, the public moment and the objects or images left behind.

Opening Berlin Photo Studio

Documented chapter

The first public exhibition turned the new studio into a temporary photographic landscape. Portraits moved across windows and walls while visitors met the space, the work and one another.

02
Instant photography · Community walk

PolaWalk Berlin

Archive growing

A photo walk built around instant photography, shared cameras and collective looking. The first archive combines the visual identity, the tools and fragments from the event while the complete participant story continues to grow.

Reusable Camera Project

Prototype chapter

A disposable camera is treated as raw material rather than waste. The object is opened, cleaned, redesigned and prepared to hold another roll of film. The current images show the result; later photographs will reveal the construction process.

Open Calls & Exhibitions

Framework active

Open calls invite photographs into the studio from outside its own walls. This chapter connects the invitation, the selection process, visible authorship and the moment the chosen work enters a public space.

Zines & Publications

Temporary visual chapter

A publication gives a temporary project another life. The present archive begins with the independent zines and photobooks that have shaped the studio’s visual culture. Berlin Photo Studio editions and PolaWalk fanzines will replace and extend these images as they are produced.

Conversation · Cameras · Coffee

Analog Cafe & Community Experiments

First chapter coming

Analog Cafe is designed as a recurring meeting point rather than a formal class: questions, demonstrations, short challenges, coffee and photography moving around the same table. The first event photographs will turn this temporary cover into a complete documentary chapter.

Build the next chapter

Some projects begin with a photograph. Others begin with a conversation.

FAQ

About Studio Projects

Why are some project chapters still incomplete?

This is a living archive. Some projects already have full documentary material, while others currently use posters, objects or temporary covers until more photographs are produced.

Can I propose a photography project or collaboration?

Yes. Berlin Photo Studio works with photographers, artists, filmmakers, educators and brands when the idea fits the studio’s visual and community direction.

Will project photographs be credited?

Yes. Photographer, collaborators, dates and project context are added whenever that information is available.

Can a completed project receive its own page?

Yes. Larger projects can expand from this archive into a dedicated page containing the complete sequence, participants, process and results.
