Childhood photograph of Lorenzo Scutti

Photography

Present in the moment. Invisible to the subject.

Lorenzo describes the most distinctive quality of his photography as the ability to remain invisible to the subject while still being fully present in the moment. His approach is attentive and unobtrusive: observing what is happening without interrupting it.

This sensitivity also shapes how he works with people in the studio—listening first, understanding what they need and helping them move confidently through cameras, film and laboratory choices.

Inside the studio

From the counter to the finished scan.

Lorenzo joined Berlin Photo Studio in May 2026 after contacting Emiliano directly. His principal responsibilities are customer service, camera sales and scan conversion.

He brought previous experience in customer service, selling cameras, Lightroom and other software, together with a growing knowledge of analog photography. This combination allows him to connect the technical side of the workflow with the questions customers bring into the shop.

Community

The value appears when people gather.

For Lorenzo, the studio’s community value becomes clearest through projects and events that involve many people. Workshops, gatherings and shared photographic experiences show how the studio can be more than a place where film is processed or cameras are sold.

His time at Berlin Photo Studio has made him more focused and organised while giving him useful business skills. Looking ahead, he wants to deepen his knowledge of film, strengthen his camera-sales practice and continue developing as a photographer.
