Professional scanning of old photo prints, family photographs and personal archives in Berlin. Turn loose pictures into digital files, plan an organised family archive and choose favourite images for restoration or new prints.
A digital photo archive is more useful when the pictures stay connected to their story. Start with the original order, preserve names and dates, and decide whether you need every image or a meaningful first selection. For larger collections, we agree the scanning and organisation scope before work begins.
Loose colour and black-and-white photographic prints, family portraits, holiday photographs and personal collections. Standard photo scanning covers prints up to 13 × 18 cm; the large-print option covers larger originals up to A4.
Albums, glued photographs, fragile originals and anything larger than A4 need an individual assessment. Do not pull photographs from an album or separate stuck prints by force.
Each print is scanned individually, with basic orientation, cropping and neutral colour correction, followed by digital delivery. Prices depend on print size and the number of photographs.
Detailed scratch removal, reconstruction, restoration, special naming, scans of handwritten backs and album handling should be agreed separately in the quotation.
For an archive project, tell us how you want to browse the result: by decade, person, place, event or original album. We can define the folder structure, filenames and relationship to the physical originals in the project scope. Bring any existing list of names or dates; uncertain information should remain marked as uncertain.
Before a larger batch, agree file format, delivered pixel dimensions, naming, delivery method and whether you need master files plus lighter sharing copies. Keep your own copies on separate storage devices. Digital delivery is not a promise of permanent online storage.

Choose the images and confirm scanning, any restoration, archive structure, delivery and return of the originals.
We digitise the prints and apply the included basic corrections. More extensive restoration follows the separately agreed scope.
Download and check the files, make your own backups and arrange collection or return of the physical photographs.
The scanning product lists current prices by size and quantity. Albums, oversized material, complex archives and restoration need a separate quotation. Tell us your deadline before ordering; scanning, restoration and printing may require different production steps.
View photo scanning options →Yes. The photo-print scanning service works from the surviving paper photograph. Bring the best version you have. If a negative also survives, mention it so we can discuss which source best suits your intended result.
Yes, the project can be scoped in batches. Send the approximate number of prints, their sizes and condition, and explain whether you want a complete archive or a first selection. Naming and organisation are agreed in the quotation.
Contact us first with photographs of the album, its page size and how the pictures are attached. Albums and glued prints need individual assessment and are not covered by the standard loose-print price.
Tell us before ordering. Capturing both sides and linking the back to the image must be included in the agreed scope; it is not automatically part of a standard front-side scan.
Scanning creates a digital reproduction and includes basic corrections. Detailed repair of cracks, tears, stains or missing areas is a separate digital restoration service.
Confirm the file format and pixel dimensions for your photo-print project before ordering. If you need an editing master and smaller sharing copies, include both in your enquiry. Film-scanning specifications should not be assumed to apply to paper prints.
Often, but the suitable print size depends on the detail and condition of the original, the scan and the crop. Tell us your target size before scanning so the whole workflow can be assessed.
Agree collection or return with the studio when arranging the project. Keep the physical originals after digitisation: the digital file preserves access to the image, while the original still carries its own information and history.
No. This service concerns digitising your own collection and delivering the agreed files. The website’s Photography Archive is a separate public gallery; it is not the delivery portal for this service.
