Dust, old foam and sticky residue can make a good camera feel neglected. Choose the level that matches what your camera needs. All services are performed carefully at Berlin Photo Studio in Berlin-Wedding.

Service levels

Basic Cleaning & Check — €29.90

• External cleaning of the camera body
• Cleaning of the film chamber, pressure plate and accessible surfaces
• Basic visual and operational check
• Short condition note if we identify an obvious problem

Best for a camera that is working but needs a general refresh. No disassembly, calibration or repair is included.

Advanced Camera Cleaning — €69.90

• Everything included in Basic Cleaning & Check
• More detailed cleaning of accessible internal areas
• Careful cleaning around controls, viewfinder exterior, mirror and focusing-screen area where safely accessible
• Removal of stubborn residue and deteriorated loose foam where possible
• More detailed functional inspection

This is deeper cleaning, but it is not a complete CLA. Lubrication, shutter-speed calibration, rangefinder adjustment and mechanical or electronic repairs are not included.

Advanced Cleaning + Light Seal Foam Replacement — €99.90

• Everything included in Advanced Camera Cleaning
• Removal of deteriorated light-seal foam
• Replacement of film-door light seals with suitable new material
• Mirror-damper foam replacement when required, accessible and appropriate for the model

This price applies to standard 35mm SLR, rangefinder and compact-camera seal layouts. Unusually complex cameras and some medium-format systems may require an individual quote before work begins.

Before ordering

Please tell us the exact camera brand and model. If the camera is not working, has suffered liquid damage, corrosion, impact damage, fungus, shutter problems or an electronic fault, contact us first. Cleaning alone cannot repair a defective component.

How it works

1. Select the service level and place your order.
2. Bring the camera to Berlin Photo Studio or ship it securely to us.
3. We inspect it before starting. If the selected service is unsuitable or additional work is needed, we contact you first.
4. We clean the camera and let you know when it is ready.

Drop-off or shipping

Drop off at the shop

You can bring the camera directly to Berlin Photo Studio, Nazarethkirchstraße 41, 13347 Berlin-Wedding. Please place the order online first or include your name, email address, telephone number and order number with the camera.

Ship your camera to us

You can also send the camera securely to the same address. Use strong protective packaging and a tracked, adequately insured shipping service. Include your name, contact details and order number inside the parcel so we can identify it immediately. Do not send film, loose accessories or batteries unless they are necessary to demonstrate the problem.

Shipping to Berlin Photo Studio and return shipping are not included in the service price.

FAQ

Is this a complete camera repair or CLA?

No. These packages cover inspection, cleaning and—in the highest level—light-seal foam replacement. Lubrication, calibration and repairs are separate specialist work.

Does Advanced Cleaning include internal lens cleaning?

No. Lens disassembly, fungus removal, haze removal and cleaning between optical elements are not included.

Can you replace light seals in every camera?

We can service many 35mm cameras and selected medium-format models. Some designs use specialised parts or complex seal systems; we will contact you if the fixed-price package cannot be applied.

Does new foam guarantee that my light leak is repaired?

New seals resolve leaks caused by deteriorated foam, but light leaks can also come from cracked doors, damaged shutters or other defects. We cannot guarantee the result until the camera has been inspected.
