Photography became the language that connected everything.
Emma has always been drawn to different forms of art. Over time, photography became the medium through which she could best express her creativity and connect with other people.
She works professionally as a photographer and photo editor, moving comfortably between commercial assignments, personal projects, studio productions and work made on location.
From the beginning

A collaboration that existed before the doors opened.
Emma has been part of Berlin Photo Studio since it opened. Before that, she and Emiliano were already working together in another studio, so the new space continued an existing creative and professional relationship.
She has watched the studio grow from its first days and helped shape how it photographs, communicates and builds trust with the people who enter it.

Different situations require different ways of seeing.
Emma’s broad experience across photographic fields has made adaptability one of her strongest skills. She can shift between studio and location, content and commercial work, technical control and spontaneous human situations.
That versatility is supported by something less visible but equally important: she enjoys meeting people and establishing trust. In a photographic space built on collaboration, that relationship often determines what becomes possible.
Shared creative work
The strongest moments are made together.
Emma values the moments when the team develops content, plans a project or searches for a new creative direction together. The process can be difficult, but it becomes rewarding when each person can contribute and influence the final result.
For her, those shared moments are one of the things that make Berlin Photo Studio special: an idea does not need to arrive fully formed. It can be questioned, changed and strengthened by the group.

Emma’s images move between observation and construction. A body, an object or a trace in the landscape can become equally important when light, texture and attention hold the frame together.
Digital to analogue
Film opened another way to express herself.
Before Berlin Photo Studio, Emma worked almost exclusively with digital photography. Through the studio, she became increasingly involved with analogue processes. Today, all of her personal projects are photographed on film.
The transition did more than change the camera she uses. It introduced a different rhythm, new material possibilities and another relationship with uncertainty. Working within a larger team also taught her more about communication, responsibility and finding solutions that work for everyone.
What comes next
A personal project becoming a book.
Emma’s next goal is to continue developing her personal photographic work and transform one of those projects into a photobook. Publishing a book within the coming months is the direction she is actively working toward.
