Varta V625U – Alkaline Replacement for PX625 Camera Batteries

The Varta V625U is a 1.5V alkaline button cell battery designed as a replacement for the classic PX625 mercury batteries once used in many vintage film cameras.

Since mercury batteries are no longer manufactured, the V625U provides a modern alternative for powering the light meters of classic analog cameras.

This battery is commonly used in cameras from the 1960s and 1970s that require a 625-type battery.

Because the V625U is 1.5V instead of the original 1.35V mercury cell, light meter readings may be slightly inaccurate in some cameras. Many photographers compensate by adjusting ISO settings or using external meters.
