Polaroid Colorpack 80 – a sculptural 1970s instant camera
The Polaroid Colorpack 80 is a distinctive square-format packfilm camera produced for international markets from 1971 to 1976. Its bold black plastic body, silver front panel and unmistakable Land Camera design make it an evocative piece of instant-photography history—equally appealing to Polaroid collectors, analogue enthusiasts, stylists and prop departments.
The camera uses manual distance estimation for focusing and an automatic electronic exposure system. Development rollers spread the chemistry as each photograph is pulled from the camera, creating the hands-on peel-apart process that defined early instant photography.
Important film compatibility
This model was designed exclusively for discontinued Polaroid Type 80-series square peel-apart packfilm, including Types 84, 85, 87, 88 and 89. It does not accept currently produced Polaroid 600, SX-70, i-Type or Go film. Because compatible film is obsolete and surviving packs are expired, this camera is offered primarily as a collectible, display object or photographic prop. Any attempt to use expired film is at the buyer’s discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
