How to select camera-ready samples
Choose finished, sale-ready samples with correct labels and undamaged surfaces. Inspect them under a strong light before packing: small marks become obvious in close photographs. Include a spare when an item is fragile, consumable or easily creased. Separate prototypes from approved products and tell the photographer which sample is the colour reference.
Why labels, dust and fingerprints matter
Clean items using a method appropriate to the material and allow them to dry. Bring gloves or handling cloths for reflective surfaces, spare packaging and any tools needed for assembly. Do not rely on retouching to fix crooked labels, damaged seams or the wrong product version. Those changes can be expensive and may misrepresent what customers receive.
What belongs in a product photography brief
Provide SKU names, dimensions, a view list, background preference and destination crops. Include a sample product page or design layout so the photographer can plan space around the object. Name one approver and agree how the first setup will be reviewed. Pack products in shot order with labels that remain with them until return.
