SX-70 Color Film

The SX-70 Polaroid cameras require a special type of film. Unlike other Polaroid films, SX-70 film has a lower ASA (ISO 160), meaning it needs much more light to capture great photos. This unique characteristic is why artists love its dreamy colors and textures. If you have a folding SX-70 camera (except for SLR 680/690 models), this is the film you need.

  • 8 instant photos per pack

Storage & Temperature Guidelines:

For the best results, store the film in the refrigerator but never freeze it. Before using, let it warm up to room temperature (13–28°C / 55–82°F).

  • In cold weather, keep developing photos warm by placing them close to your body.
  • On hot days, ensure film and photos stay cool.

Capturing the Best Shots

SX-70 film requires a lot of light:

  • Use bright natural light whenever possible.
  • Always use the flash for indoor shots.
  • Even outdoors, flash is recommended unless you’re in direct sunlight.

Developing Your Photos

Polaroid photos are delicate while developing:

  • Do not shake or bend them.
  • Protect them from light while developing:
    • Black & white film: Keep shielded for about 1 minute.
    • Color film: Keep shielded for about 6 minutes.
  • Place the photo face down until fully developed.

Camera Maintenance

Inside your camera’s film door, you’ll find rollers that help process each photo. Keeping them clean is key to consistent image quality.

  • If dirty, gently wipe them with a soft, damp cloth.
