This camera features an electronically-timed shutter with speeds from 16s to 1/4000 and electronic flash synchronization at 1/125s. It uses a Contax/Yashica bayonet lens mount and is compatible with MM lenses, required for some program modes. Without MM lenses, the camera defaults to Av mode.

    • Program: Normal
    • Program High: Favors higher shutter speed
    • Program Low: Favors lower shutter speed
    • Tv: Shutter priority
    • Av: Aperture priority
    • M: Manual, including bulb setting
  • Metering Modes (set via power dial):
    • Center-weighted (square)
    • Spot metering (circle)
    • AEL (auto-exposure lock)

The TTL metering system (SPD) measures 0-20 EV at ISO 100 (f/1.4 lens). Film speeds range from ISO 25-5000. Exposure compensation can adjust from -2 to +2 EV in 1/3 increments.

Viewfinder:

The viewfinder includes a split-image spot, micro prism, and illuminated LED indicators for flash, exposure settings, shutter/ISO, aperture, and program mode.

Film Transport:

The motorized system offers three drive modes:

  • S: Single
  • C: Continuous
  • S-T: Self-timer (10s countdown)

Supports DX-coded film (ISO 25-5000) and manual ISO setting for non-DX film, with last-used settings retained. Film status can be checked via a back window. Rewind options include mid-roll.
