Wait Smoke Sleep – Sibilla Calzolari

Backstage photography spanning a decade (2003 – 2013 circa) with bands like The Black Lips, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Hot Snakes, Boots Electric, Health, Retox and many more. The idea was to shoot backstage and document what happens before a gig, during soundcheck, to capture this particular atmosphere. The bands were all photographed in Berlin in various clubs, many of which don’t exist anymore.
